Job summary

Cast & Crew seeks a Director of Payroll Tax to lead a team across the United States and Canada. The role reports to the SVP of Accounting and requires strategic oversight of tax compliance, reporting, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate brings deep payroll tax expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives with Operations, Technology, and Finance while maintaining robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive payroll tax experience, including at least 5 in a leadership role managing payroll tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll tax regulations, filings, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing complex payroll tax operations within large, multi-state organizations.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools within your discipline and ability to discuss measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payroll tax professionals.
• Oversee payroll tax filings and payments for US and Canada.
• Main point of contact for payroll tax regulatory agencies.
