Job summary

VisionFund International, the microfinance arm of World Vision, seeks a Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) to lead measurement, evaluation, and learning across the MFI network.

You will design indicator architecture, oversee data collection, manage external research partnerships, and strengthen fundraising through MERL design for donor-funded proposals. This home-based role requires up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level degree in Economics, Development Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Evaluation, or related quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of VisionFund’s MERL across the MFI network.
• Oversee the network monitoring architecture, client voice instruments, and data quality assurance.
• Strengthen fundraising capabilities by leading MERL design for institutional, philanthropic, and blended-finance proposals from qualification to implementation.
• Build measurement capability with World Vision support and field offices and track commitments throughout implementation.

French or Spanish desirable

Education
