Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. seeks a Director of Government Contracts to lead teams responsible for routine and high-dollar U.S. government agreements across Army, Navy, Air Force, and DHS programs.

You will drive strategic proposals, negotiate terms, ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, and guide contract performance with senior leadership. The role supports remote candidates nationwide with significant travel to program sites.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required (or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in business, contracting, economics or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of U.S. Government Contracts experience with emphasis on negotiation, placement and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic proposal initiatives with DoD and DHS including Foreign Military Sales.
• Provide expert advice on contract terms, conditions, and review under FAR/DFARS.
• Negotiate contracts and supports leadership during higher level negotiations; obtain approvals as needed.
• Oversee contract performance and ensure alignment with program needs; develop and implement programs.
