Job summary

Defense and Development Enterprises LLC in Weston, FL seeks a Director of Contracts to lead contract development, review, negotiation and administration for commercial and U.S. Government business, ensuring terms comply with policy, legal requirements and customer obligations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, at least five years of contract administration in the aerospace/military sector, and strong FAR/DFARS knowledge to drive timely contract

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of contract administration experience in aerospace/military equipment.
Extensive experience interpreting and applying the FAR/DFARS; experience with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 contracts.

Responsibilities

Prepare and customize contract documents using approved templates (NDAs, distribution agreements, MOUs, etc.).
Review quotations, POs, supplier agreements, NDAs, gov't solicitations and contracts; advise on language and exceptions.
Perform contract administration for existing U.S. Government Prime Contracts with multiple federal agencies.
Review and redline customer and vendor contracts; negotiate terms to align with policies and risk standards.
Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to obtain reviews and timely approvals.
Drive positive outcomes in reviews, negotiations, and administration while minimizing delays in awards.
Communicate clearly to resolve contractual issues and maintain strong business relationships.
