Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 7–10 years financial management; 5+ years in supervision in higher education or nonprofit.
• Technical: Deep knowledge of fund accounting, GAAP, GASB, and federal compliance (OMB Uniform Guidance).
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to present complex financial information.
• Leadership: Lead and develop finance staff; strong organizational and change management skills.
• Analytical thinking: Interpret financial data, identify trends; propose strategies.
• Ethical standards: Integrity, confidentiality.
• Experience with higher education financial statements and consolidated reporting.

Responsabilités

• Oversee GAAP/GASB-compliant financial reporting, audits, and timelines.
• Lead finance department (11 staff + students) including GL, fixed assets, and accounts payable.
• Design and monitor internal controls; assess financial risks.
• Coordinate budgets across campuses and departments; manage grants & SEFA data.
• Interface with external auditors; oversee annual state compliance audits.
• Support financial presentations for Board and leadership; IRS Form 990 filings.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
