Job summary

Devereux, a national nonprofit behavioral health organization, seeks a strategic Director of Finance, Ancillary Services to lead financial performance across pharmacy, educational consulting, autism services, and training programs. This role partners with senior leaders to drive budgeting, forecasting, contracts, and revenue streams while supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Minimum of five years experience in a senior level finance role at Devereux or comparable organization.
• Supervisory and leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, pharmacy, education, or related industry preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and contract management experience.
• Experience managing multiple revenue streams and complex financial operations.
• Knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, inventory controls, and financial compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and month-end close activities.
• Manage revenue streams, billing operations, accounts receivable, cash applications, and vendor payments.
• Oversee contract development, execution, and compliance for revenue-generating agreements and independent contractors.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing budget-to-actual analysis.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Oversee inventory valuation, forecasting, reconciliations, and cost-of-goods analyses.
• Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements and applicable regulations.
• Partner with Corporate Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
• Prepare and present financial reports and performance analyses to senior leadership.
• Lead special projects related to financial operations, productivity, utilization, and business growth initiatives.
