Stealth Educational Startup in the United States is seeking a Director of External Affairs to become the public face of gifted education, building credibility into funding through media, partnerships, and campaigns.

You will set the message, pitch reporters, sign partnerships, and ensure accuracy with legal review when needed. This remote, full-time role offers $200/hour (about $400k/year at 40h/week and 50 weeks) payable weekly.

Qualifications

• You have spent 2+ years in gifted education or are a parent/guardian of a gifted child involved in testing and school choice.
• You are comfortable in front of microphones and cameras and have led live interviews with reporters.
• You have personally sourced and signed partnerships with companies or associations.
• You can explain tax policy to the public in clear language and master federal scholarship tax-credit rules within 30 days.
• You are self-driven, based in the United States, available 40 hours/week, and remote-friendly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal spokesperson for gifted education: pitch reporters, lead TV, radio, print, podcast and online interviews, and headline conferences, member meetings, webinars and community events.
• Set the message: produce video and social content, review public materials for factual accuracy, and answer live questions from approved messaging, with legal review when needed.
• Build the partnership portfolio: identify, approach and win companies, associations, organizations and media influencers whose audiences include gifted students, families and educators.
• Negotiate and close the agreements, including paid influencer arrangements, that commit partners to donate campaigns.
• Run the results: track active partners, reach, attributable donations, and media and speaking engagements, report them honestly, and redirect effort to what produces donations.
