Job summary

Mainspring Energy is seeking a Director of Electrical Strategic Design Sourcing to lead the electrical commodity supply chain. You will build and manage a team, own budgeting and policy standards, and partner with Engineering to embed sourcing in the product roadmap from the earliest stages of development.

You will drive best total cost across inverters, battery/electronics, and multi-source supply bases while ensuring FEOC and IRA compliance and regional/global risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent technical discipline.
• 20+ years across electrical engineering, operations, and supply chain, with 3–5 years managing sourcing teams.
• Deep technical knowledge of power electronics, PCBAs, connectors, and energy storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and develop a team of commodity managers; own the budget and policies.
• Escalation point to executive leadership; align priorities across orgs to drive results.
• Partner with Engineering and Product Management on roadmap; own DFM/DFX to enable manufacturability.
