Job summary

Cumulus Media is seeking a Director of Digital Ad Operations to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of advertising operations for the Cumulus Podcast Network. This fully remote (US-based) role reports to the VP, Digital Ad Operations and oversees cross‑functional teams across podcasts, streaming audio, websites, and emerging digital products.

The position requires 8+ years in Digital Ad Operations and 5+ years of leadership, with expertise in ad tech platforms and monetization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years in Digital Ad Operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of digital ad ecosystems and platforms.
• Experience with Adswizz, Triton Digital, Megaphone, Magellan.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for Digital Ad Operations.
• Lead managers and senior team members across the organization.
• Set department goals and KPIs aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee campaign planning, trafficking, optimization, and measurement.
• Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Partner with Sales and Digital Leadership to grow revenue.
• Maintain relationships with ad technology and measurement platform partners.
• Lead platform migrations and major ad tech initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Content, Revenue Ops, and Sales.
• Serve as senior escalation point for client challenges.
• Provide executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations.
