Job summary

CUMULUS MEDIA Modesto is seeking a Director of Sales who can lead teams to exceed local revenue goals using on-air, digital and experiential assets. The role requires developing strategic plans, mentoring staff, and driving new business both locally and beyond our home market.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in broadcast or digital sales, strong leadership, CRM proficiency, and a collaborative, results-driven approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in broadcast or digital sales and sales management.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to exceed revenue goals across Radio, Digital, Events, and NTR.
• Lead and develop the sales team, coaching and managing performance.
• Recruit, train, and build a high-performance sales bench of candidates.
• Oversee CRM usage and reporting to drive accountability and results.
• Negotiate national and local rate plans and budgets with clients.
