Job summary

International Friendships, Inc. (IFI) is seeking a Director of Development to lead national fundraising strategy and major donor relations. The role partners with the CEO and senior leadership to expand IFI’s funding base and support a ten-year vision to welcome 200,000 international students.

This remote-friendly position balances travel, conferences, and donor events. The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in nonprofit fundraising, a proven major gifts track record, and strong CRM/communications

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of nonprofit development experience with a demonstrated major gift track record.
• Experience closing five-figure (and ideally six-figure) gifts; foundation relationship experience a strong plus.
• Self-starter who can work independently and lead a small team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to build a culture of generosity across IFI.
• Lead the development of IFI’s annual fundraising strategy including major gifts and grants.
• Build and manage a portfolio of major donors and cultivate relationships.
