Job summary

The FYI is looking for a Development Officer to enhance fundraising efforts and build relationships with donors. This remote role requires experience in nonprofit development and effective communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of The FYI and will be involved in planning fundraising campaigns, managing donor relations, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. Compensation includes a salary range of $60,000 – $70,000, flexible remote work, and various benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, grant writing, or nonprofit development.
• Experience working with the American Muslim community.
• Knowledge of the Muslim community funder landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to grow revenue.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors.
• Plan and manage fundraising campaigns.

Skills

Project management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of ethical fundraising practices

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Ability to create compelling donor communications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management or related field

Tools

Donor management software (e.g., Neon or Salesforce)
