Job summary

Discovery Land Company, a U.S.-based real estate developer, seeks a Director, Architecture for its Creative Services Department. This remote, full-time role leads architecture across luxury residential, private club, and mixed-use developments, guiding design from acquisition through delivery.

You will engage early in projects, steer direction with design teams, and advise executives on critical milestones.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in architecture on luxury projects.
• Experience on private clubs, resort residential, hospitality, or master planned projects.
• Experience directing and critiquing work of architects and design teams.
• Strong conceptual design skills including massing and sketching.
• Understanding of club operations and how they shape design.
• Ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in acquisition and underwriting to align programming and vision.
• Develop land plan concepts and high level architectural concepts.
• Lead architectural direction with project teams and outside architects.
• Advise executive leadership on design decisions at milestones.
• Protect design intent and consistency across the portfolio.
• Manage and develop design staff and build the architecture team.
