Altera Digital Health is seeking a high-impact Director, Development to lead multiple software engineering teams responsible for building, modernizing, and sustaining healthcare IT solutions.

Reporting to the VP, R&D, this role drives AI-directed development, governance, and architectural discipline across two delivery tracks, with a focus on HIPAA-compliant practices and scalable, value-driven delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple software engineering teams delivering healthcare product enhancements, cloud-native modernization programs, regulatory initiatives, and client commitments.
• Drive Agile planning and on-time delivery of roadmap commitments and customer priorities.
• Operationalize AI-directed development practices with governance, architecture discipline, and ROI metrics.
• Provide architectural guidance and enforce architecture-as-source-of-truth across all teams.
• Lead a distributed U.S., Costa Rica, and India team with vendor relationships and multi-timezone delivery cadences.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Master's degree preferred
