Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Director, Analyst for Manufacturing Operations Technology. This remote US role leads research on MES, AI-enabled manufacturing, and digital transformation for CSCOs, COOs, and OT leaders.

You will craft must-have research and influence client decisions through presentational materials and advisory work. The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing tech with MES experience, strong writing and presentation skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant field experience.
• Significant experience with manufacturing operations technologies and MES.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on market landscape, vendor selection, and implementation.
• Research and advise on digital transformation and evolving manufacturing tech.
• Create research content (Magic Quadrants, Market Guides, Hype Cycles).
• Develop forward-looking research to accelerate client decisions.
• Present high-value materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support Research and Sales with market insights and content.
