Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Director to lead investigations and compliance for government contractors. The role involves forensic analysis, litigation support, and expert testimony across complex matters, with responsibility for guiding clients through regulatory challenges.

Ideal candidates bring CPA, a bachelor’s in business/finance, 10+ years in government contracting, and deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS/CAS.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of government contracting experience, including professional services.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Experience in financial/forensic accounting analysis and expert witness preparation.
• Proven business development experience and client relationship management capabilities.
• Demonstrable expertise in compliance consulting and regulatory matters across all contract stages (proposal through closeout).
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to resolve complex government contractor investigations, create forensic analysis, provide litigation support and expert testimony.
• Guide clients through regulatory challenges, audit findings, and compliance-related matters.
• Create an inclusive team environment with trust and respect, seeking diverse viewpoints for continuous improvement.
• Cultivate and maintain positive, productive relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Proactively communicate efficiently to all levels of the engagement team.
• Support client advisory & consulting in government contracting regulations, audits, and disputes.
