Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Director of Government Contractor Investigations & Compliance to lead a team resolving complex investigations, producing forensic analyses, and supporting litigation. You will guide clients through FAR/DFARS/CAS regulatory challenges and cultivate senior-level relationships.

The role requires CPA and 10+ years in government contracting; strong regulatory knowledge, and a proven track record in compliance consulting.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required; Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of government contracting experience, including professional services delivering solutions to government contractor clients
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
• Demonstrable expertise in compliance consulting and regulatory matters across all contract stages (proposal through closeout)
• Experience in financial/forensic accounting analysis and expert witness preparation
• Proven business development experience and client relationship management capabilities
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to resolve complex government contractor investigations and provide forensic analysis
• Provide litigation support and may be asked to provide expert testimony
• Guide clients through regulatory challenges, audit findings, and compliance matters
• Cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and clients and proactively communicate across the engagement team
• Develop and maintain credibility as a trusted advisor to senior client leadership
• Drive business development to expand existing accounts and pursue new opportunities
