Job summary

Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Director of Global Trade Compliance to lead and advance our international trade compliance program across import, export, sanctions, and customs. This role reports to the VP, Global Fulfillment & Distribution and operates within Cepheid's fully remote global Supply Chain team.

The candidate will drive governance, controls, and continuous improvement, partnering with Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Finance while ensuring alignment with Danaher standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, Law, Finance, Accounting is required, with 12+ years of experience.
• 12+ years applying customs compliance across multiple jurisdictions and global trade requirements.
• Experience leading mature global trade compliance programs, governance, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cepheid’s global trade compliance program to meet import/export and sanctions regulations.
• Provide trade compliance guidance to Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Tax, and R&D teams.
• Oversee customs compliance programs including valuation, tariff classification, origin, and free trade agreements.
• Develop origin strategies, tariff mitigation, and trade planning with cross-functional partners.
• Lead audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement of compliance controls.
• Drive digital transformation using automation and data governance in trade operations.
