Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Director of Global Trade Compliance to lead our international trade compliance strategy and operations.

This remote role will oversee export controls, import regulations, sanctions, and cross-border laws while serving as Export Control Officer. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will guide policy, classification, licensing, and risk management across our global footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in global trade compliance, export controls, or customs, ideally in aerospace, defense, or advanced technology.
• Strong operational knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions programs, and U.S. customs/import regulations.
• Direct experience interfacing with BIS, DDTC, CBP, or OFAC.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and comfort advising senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the global trade compliance program including export controls (ITAR/EAR), import compliance, sanctions (OFAC).
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls across jurisdictions.
• Oversee product/technology classification (ECCN, USML, HTS) and manage licensing for exports and transfers.
• Lead import compliance activities, including customs valuation, origin determinations, tariff classification, and duty management.
• Build and mentor a growing trade compliance team as the function scales.
