Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Director, Global Technical Services - Respiratory to lead technical aspects of externally manufactured products in the Respiratory portfolio. You will drive tech transfer projects, improve manufacturing robustness, and support vendor performance across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sourcing teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science, GMP/respiratory manufacturing knowledge, and strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with a specialization in Engineering or a related science field.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical development and GMP manufacturing, preferably for respiratory products.
• Experience in at least one product category such as OINDP, parenteral, blow-fill-seal, vaccine, or drug/device combinations.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute experimental plans in commercial plants.
• Experience in statistical analysis and reporting to technical and senior leaders.
• Ability to lead matrix teams and manage complex product delivery.
• Strong leadership behaviors: influencing, negotiation, conflict management and stakeholder management.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Remote role with flexibility to be based in the UK, Europe, or the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of externally manufactured products for the Respiratory portfolio.
• Develop and execute tech transfer projects aligned with commercial launch targets.
• Improve robustness and efficiency of manufacturing processes for cost competitiveness.
• Provide and develop technical expertise to support vendor performance.
• Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing and other departments to manage contract manufacturing.
• Serve as technical point of contact for the CMO and evaluate performance and capacity.
• Manage CMOs/vendors to timelines, budgets, and risk mitigations; communicate with senior management.
• Develop and execute tech transfer plans; interface between Process Development and Manufacturing Operations.
• Lead investigations and determine root cause; drive CAPA closure.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, safety, productivity and reliability; translate into business cases.
