Deckers Brands is seeking a Director of Data Architecture to define, govern, and evolve the company’s enterprise data architecture. You will lead standards, domain patterns, and data product governance, partnering with engineering, analytics, governance, and business teams to drive adoption.

This role centers on modern data ecosystems, event-driven design, and scalable implementations on AWS, with a focus on enabling analytics, AI, and operational reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• 10–15 years of experience in data architecture, including leadership roles.
• Significant experience in cloud-based, modern data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise data architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures.
• Lead the design of enterprise conceptual, logical, and physical data structures with shared semantics.
• Establish domain-oriented architecture patterns for reusable, governed data products and data flows.
• Partner with data engineering to implement scalable solutions on AWS cloud data platforms.
• Facilitate architecture reviews and workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop a team of data architects and specialists.
