Job summary

Nationwide seeks a forward‑thinking technology leader to drive data, analytics, cloud modernization and AI across the NF Actuarial group. You’ll translate business priorities into scalable, cloud‑native solutions and coach actuarial teams to adopt modern data and AI practices.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Director, you’ll shape roadmaps, lead discovery, and collaborate with data, platform, DevOps, security and architecture teams. Columbus, OH or remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
• 10+ years in data architecture, data engineering, analytics, and enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years designing cloud-native data platforms with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS.
• 3+ years delivering AI/ML or generative AI in production.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale digital transformation and AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver data, analytics, AI opportunities with stakeholders.
• Modernize legacy processes into cloud-native, data-driven AI-enabled solutions.
• Design and govern data platforms using Snowflake, Databricks, AWS.
• Lead architecture reviews, solution-design workshops, and technology evaluations.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to executives and technical teams.
