Violet Research Institute (VRI) seeks a senior data infrastructure leader to own in silico and data operations, guiding the bioinformatics team and setting standards for assay data, CRO outputs, and computational workflows. This fully remote role reports to an East Coast leader and collaborates with wet lab operations.

You will drive AI-powered data analysis pipelines, coordinate with CROs, and mentor data scientists as the team grows.

Competenze

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, or closely related field.
• 7+ years in computational biology, bioinformatics, or data science within biotech/drug discovery.
• Hands-on experience building and owning data infrastructure in a small, resource-constrained org.
• Comfort with nucleic acid sequence design and related modalities (ASO, siRNA).
• Fluency with cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS) and bioinformatics workflow tools.
• Native AI user — integrate AI into workflows daily.

Mansioni

• Own LIMS path forward: fix or replace with Benchling, Dotmatics, or comparable.
• Define data standards for raw assay data and CRO deliverables; direct bioinformatics team accordingly.
• Implement a single source of truth for data/decisions; manage program tracking systems.
• Build AI-native workflows for data analysis, literature synthesis, and scientific decision support.
• Direct bioinformatics team and later data scientists to ensure outputs meet standards.
• Oversee CRO data quality and QC processes; address vendor data issues.
