Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Director of BESS Augmentation to lead strategic and operational efforts across battery energy storage system augmentation projects.

The role directs Superintendents, collaborates with project managers, and ensures safe, timely, and profitable delivery for SOLV and clients. This fully remote position requires strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management skills, with travel up to 30% to support projects, sites, clients, and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience in BESS, utility-scale projects, or related technical services.
• Experience leading managers, Superintendents, field teams, and multiple concurrent BESS augmentation projects.
• Advanced knowledge of BESS governance, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for BESS augmentation programs and teams.
• Set portfolio priorities, staffing plans, governance, performance expectations, and augmentation strategies.
• Direct safe field execution, outage and resource planning, subcontractor coordination, quality, schedule, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
