Job summary

Evidence Action is seeking an Associate Director or Director, Program Innovation & Evidence to lead the AI Access Initiative’s agriculture forecasting work. The role is fully remote within the United States, with travel ~20% to partner countries and close collaboration with governments, researchers, and delivery partners.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years' experience building programs in international development, consulting, or related NGOs.
• Experience designing and running randomized or quasi-experimental evaluations (RCTs, A/B tests, etc.).
• Track record translating evaluation results into program iterations and scaling impact.
• Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder coalitions with governments, researchers, and partners.
• High EQ with ability to influence diverse partners and lead distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Own forecast messaging testing across formats and delivery to drive farmer comprehension and behavior change.
• Scope and pilot new forecast delivery channels (Chatbots, WhatsApp, SMS, social media).
• Oversee development of novel forecasts with academics and manage a roadmap for prioritization.
• Coordinate with in-country teams to implement M&E and identify program improvements.
• Lead cost-effectiveness analyses and stay abreast of the evidence base for agriculture programs.
• Build best practices and toolkits; share learnings with the sector through public-good resources.
