Job summary

eScribers is seeking experienced digital court reporters to join as independent contractors. You will work on a per-project basis across Oakland, San Francisco, and surrounding areas, with options for remote work where available.

Successful candidates have completed a training program or possess reporting experience, own reporting equipment, and can meet deadlines while delivering high-quality transcripts. Weekly pay and project-based compensation are provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of training program or prior reporting experience.
• Must have reporting equipment before onboarding.
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience or knowledge of legal proceedings.
• High degree of professionalism.
• Commit to meeting all deadlines.
• Be able to upload and download files and use other basic computer functions.
• Have a high-speed internet connection.
• Reliable mode of transportation.
• Have a current U.S. bank account to receive contract payments.

Responsibilities

• Appear in person for local and travel jobs in Oakland and San Francisco.
• Remote work is available.
• Onboarding process and required paperwork will be completed.
• Maintain high quality standards in submission of assignments.
