Job summary

The Senate Sergeant at Arms (SAA) Office of Communications is seeking an experienced digital communications professional to help manage and improve the SAA's digital content and platforms.

The Digital Communications Specialist will develop, edit, organize, and publish content; help shape digital content strategy and governance; and use analytics, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles to make information easier for the Senate community to find, understand, and use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in communications, information science, journalism, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience; 3–5 years with Bachelor’s degree as noted in requirements.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, publish, and maintain clear, accessible digital content for SAA platforms.
• Develop content governance standards and publishing workflows.
• Organize information architecture and metadata to improve navigation and searchability.
• Translate complex information into user-focused web content for Senate audiences.
