Job summary

Geisinger in Pennsylvania seeks a Radiologic Technologist for a remote, nights shift, 40-hour work week. You will perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, follow ALARA principles, ensure correct patient identification, and maintain patient safety while collaborating with licensed practitioners.

New graduates must obtain ARRT‑R within 6 months of hire, and staff hired after March 10, 2024 must progress to level 2 within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT radiography certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
• New hires after March 10, 2024 must complete steps for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, patient is identified and prepared for exam, with proper history.
• Uses imaging protocols, maximizing safety and ALARA.
• Preparing and/or administering medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluates images for proper positioning and quality; verifies data transfer.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures including in OR/ICU.
