Platinum Therapy in Newark, CA seeks a qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to support a school-aged student. The position is part-time (.05) with about 20 hours per week and offers an in-person or remote/virtual setting.

Pay ranges from $57 to $75 per hour, based on experience. The role provides mileage reimbursement for eligible in-person travel, and ASAP start with clinical and professional support from Platinum Therapy.

Qualifications

• Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with DHH authorization.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• DHH teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, communication access, and school-based special education.
• ASL proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to provide services effectively in a remote/virtual setting, if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Provide DHH services and educational support to the assigned student.
• Address the student's communication, educational, and access needs.
• Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and the educational team.
• Support classroom access through accommodations, consultation, and appropriate strategies.
• Assist with communication access and implementation of DHH-specific services.
• Participate in IEP-related activities and collaborate with the IEP team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
• Provide guidance and strategies to support the student's educational success.
