Job summary

TheraPeds Partners in the United States is seeking an exceptionally specialized Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) with Orientation & Mobility (O&M) certification for a fully remote, 100% virtual role serving PreK-12 and transition students throughout the 2026-2027 school year.

The candidate will provide DHH instruction, O&M programming, and virtual collaboration with school teams, families, and related service providers, using ASL, spoken language, AAC, captioning, and assistive

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Deaf Education, Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Valid state certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
• Current Orientation & Mobility (O&M) certification from a recognized credentialing organization.
• Experience delivering DHH educational services and O&M services via telepractice.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual specialized instruction for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students.
• Develop and implement instructional strategies aligned with IEP goals.
• Deliver remote orientation, environmental awareness, spatial concepts, and navigation guidance.
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings, evaluations, and transition planning.
• Collaborate with Teachers of the Visually Impaired, audiologists, SLPs, OTs, PTs, and school admins.
• Support communication using ASL, spoken language, AAC, captioning, and assistive listening devices.
• Advise on accessibility, environmental modifications, and independent living skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
• Communicate progress with families and educational teams.
