Job summary

VocoVision seeks a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) licensed in Illinois for a fully virtual role supporting K-12 students for the 2026–2027 school year. Work from home with a 100% remote teletherapy setup, servicing Illinois students with hearing impairments.

Responsibilities include delivering virtual instruction, consulting with educators and families, maintaining logs and progress reports, and participating in virtual IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Deaf Education
• Illinois Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certificate is required
• Minimum 1 year of DHH experience
• Virtual/teletherapy experience preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging virtual instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
• Deliver consultation services to educators, staff, and families
• Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and maintain accurate records
• Adapt instructional strategies for online learning environments
• Support student access to curriculum through virtual service delivery
