Job summary

Eaton is seeking a DFSS Engineer for its ES AMER ARS PDCAD division, offering a remote schedule with hybrid focus at Greenwood, SC. You will drive DFSS, DX quality planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure robust product launches and flawless hand‑offs into production.

Ideal candidates combine hands‑on quality expertise with DFSS tools, APQP/PPAP know‑how, and a continuous improvement mindset to reduce variability in manual fabrication and assembly while partnering with engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Three or more years in quality or manufacturing engineering.
• Solid understanding of quality systems and tools: FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and 8D; APQP/PPAP experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or DFSS training is a plus.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPD quality planning and DFSS activities with CTQ identification.
• Coordinate FAI and PPAP submissions with pre-launch control plans.
• Drive manufacturing quality improvements and monitor key metrics.
• Manage supplier APQP/PPAP activities and supplier audits when needed.
• Coordinate cross-functional design/manufacturing reviews for smooth gate transitions.
