GuidePoint Security is seeking a DFIR Consultant to join its Digital Forensics & Incident Response Practice in the United States. You will perform investigations, analyze host and network data, and deliver clear findings to clients under senior guidance.

Responsibilities include engagement communication, producing thorough remediation recommendations, collaborating with peers, and staying current with evolving DFIR methods. The role offers remote work with limited travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years, or Master's degree.
• Hands-on experience across core DFIR disciplines: host forensics, network traffic analysis, malware handling/triage, log review, and BEC analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to both technical and managerial audiences.
• Creativity and adaptability to solve challenging problems in a rapidly changing environment.
• Embraces emerging technologies, including AI tools, to work smarter, solve problems, and drive better business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform DFIR investigations as a contributing technical resource.
• Support engagement communication, time management, and coordination throughout the investigative lifecycle.
• Produce clear engagement deliverables that detail technical findings, recommendations, business impact, and realistic remediation strategies for both technical and managerial audiences.
• Collaborate with peers and engagement leads across concurrent engagements, sharing findings and coordinating to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
• Use scripting and automation to reduce manual processes and improve the efficiency of DFIR tasks.
