GuidePoint Security LLC is seeking a Principal DFIR Consultant to lead highly complex investigations and shape the practice's methodologies. The role blends deep technical forensics with client leadership, mentoring staff, and contributing to business development.

The ideal candidate has extensive DFIR expertise, senior-level engagement experience, and strong communication skills to present findings to executives and legal teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on DFIR experience with high-severity engagements.
• 10+ combined years in IT/security and leadership on complex incidents.
• Expert DFIR capabilities across host/network forensics, malware, cloud IR.
• Strong communication skills for executive and legal audiences.
• Proven mentoring of junior staff and development of practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical depth and QA on complex engagements and client calls.
• Lead on critical investigations (ransomware, APT, insider threats).
• Conduct advanced host/network forensics, malware triage, cloud IR.
• Mentor Senior Consultants and Analysts; develop methodologies and SOPs.
• Support pre-sales, scoping, and external representation of the practice.
