Job summary

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a DevSecOps/Platform Engineer to support the DoED Federal Student Aid CPSS program in Washington, DC. This is a remote position with responsibilities spanning CI/CD, pipeline automation, and security testing integration.

You will implement cloud deployment patterns, maintain automation libraries, and ensure compliance with NIST and CIS standards while collaborating with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 10+ years' experience.
• Active CISSP or equivalent certification.
• Hands-on experience implementing enterprise CI/CD, cloud automation, IaC, config management, and release automation.
• Experience with Git-based development, automated testing, security-tool integration, and AWS or comparable clouds.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical procedures, reusable automation, and platform documentation.
• Ability to obtain a 6c Public Trust. U.S. Citizenship is required and highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineer CI/CD workflows using customer tooling and AWS environments.
• Implement pipeline-as-code, reusable templates, quality gates, and release controls.
• Integrate unit, integration, security, and infrastructure testing into delivery workflows.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code and cloud deployment patterns for portable apps.
• Maintain pipeline inventories, standards, SOPs, runbooks, and docs.
• Support compliance with NIST SP 800-218, CISA guidance, STIGs, and CIS norms.
• Provide platform troubleshooting and technical guidance to stakeholders.
