Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support NAVREMS for the Navy radiation exposure management modernization program. This fully remote role focuses on secure development, deployment, and maintenance of software, cloud, and edge-based solutions in NAVREMS.

Responsibilities include building secure CI/CD pipelines, implementing security checks, and managing IaC across AWS GovCloud, while enforcing baselines and access controls and supporting monitoring and incident response.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cybersecurity engineering or DevSecOps experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• DoD 8570-compliant IAM, IAT, or IASAE Level I certification.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance after start date.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for NAVREMS applications and infrastructure.
• Implement automated security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance checks.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions across AWS GovCloud environments.
• Enforce secure configuration baselines and access controls for cloud and edge systems.
• Support continuous monitoring, incident response, and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with developers and system engineers to integrate security throughout the SDLC.
