Job summary

Serco is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our team on a 100% remote basis. The role focuses on embedding security into the software development lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices.

Candidates should have U.S. citizenship, the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree, and at least five years in DevOps, security engineering, software engineering, or cloud engineering.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years in DevOps, Security/Software/Cloud engineering.
• Proficiency with Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).
• Certifications in cloud security are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security tools into development and deployment workflows (SAST, DAST, container scanning).
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments.
