Job summary

Serco is seeking an Experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in a 100% remote capacity. The role emphasizes embedding security across the SDLC, building secure CI/CD pipelines, and automating infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation.

Strong cloud, scripting, and security expertise are required. Ideal candidates will have at least two years in DevOps or security-focused roles, US citizenship, the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance, and proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
• Proficiency with Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills.
• Ability to obtain DoW Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security tools and practices into development and deployment workflows (SAST, DAST, container scanning).
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices.
