Job summary

Leidos is seeking a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to build and sustain delivery infrastructure for mission-critical software. You will design CI/CD pipelines, harden Kubernetes, automate security compliance, and apply AI to accelerate pipelines across DoD environments.

You will collaborate with engineers and ISSEs to embed security from the start, maintain runbooks and deployment guides, and contribute to feature development when capacity allows. Strong emphasis on security-first practices.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• 4+ years in DevSecOps/DevOps; 8+ years total experience.
• Hands-on CI/CD with GitLab CI; other tools a plus.
• Kubernetes administration and hardening in compliance environments.
• DISA STIG compliance in Linux containers and RHEL/Rocky.
• IaC tooling with Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines from development to deployment.
• Hardening and management of Kubernetes across cloud and restricted networks.
• Automate security artifact generation: SBOM, CVE scanning, compliance validation.
• Promote Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and controls-as-code across the team.
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate pipeline development and remediation.
• Collaborate with software/systems ISSEs to embed security early in development.
• Maintain deployment infrastructure across secure environments, including air-gapped contexts.
• Support ATO processes through automated evidence and docs.
