Job summary
Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Technical Lead to support modernization efforts within a government-focused technology organization. The DevOps Technical Lead will lead CI/CD strategy, automation initiatives, and software delivery processes while providing mentorship and technical direction to a team of engineers.
The role emphasizes senior DevOps leadership, cloud engineering expertise, and strong collaboration across security, development, and infrastructure teams, with a fully remote work
Qualifications
- Eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
- 7+ years of DevOps, Cloud or Platform Engineering experience.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments.
- Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies.
- Prior technical leadership experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications.
- Implement automation solutions to improve software delivery speed and reliability.
- Establish DevOps best practices and deployment standards.
- Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to streamline delivery processes.
- Mentor engineers and provide leadership on automation and release management initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.
