Job summary
Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Technical Lead to advance modernization within a government-focused technology organization. You will lead CI/CD strategy, automation initiatives, and software delivery while mentoring a team of engineers.
The role requires 7+ years in DevOps/Cloud, hands-on with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. Fully remote with competitive compensation and benefits.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- 7+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering experience.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments.
- Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies.
- Previous technical leadership experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications.
- Implement automation solutions that improve software delivery speed and reliability.
- Establish DevOps best practices and deployment standards.
- Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to streamline delivery processes.
- Mentor engineers and provide leadership on automation and release management initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts across the software development lifecycle.
