Job summary

BMC Software is seeking a DevOps Migration Engineer specializing in Mainframe Source Code Management. The role focuses on migrating legacy SCM systems into the AMI DevX Code Pipeline, handling end-to-end migration planning, and ensuring secure, stable, and optimized code pipelines.

You will work with developers, testers, QA, and operations to deliver integrated solutions, including potential work with Git, Eclipse, VS Code, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps. Hybrid role based in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mainframe SCM/release management as administrator
• 2+ years in AMI DevX Code Pipeline (ISPW) strongly preferred
• Experience migrating from Endevor, Librarian, ChangeMan and others
• Knowledge of JCL, JES2/3, ISPF, REXX; dataset design (PDS/PDSE, VSAM)
• Scripting skills in REXX, CLIST
• Experience with Git-based workflows for mainframe and tooling
• Familiarity with RACF/ACF2/Top Secret and security/compliance controls

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and optimize the AMI DevX Code Pipeline platform
• Lead end-to-end SCM migration planning and execution
• Model lifecycle metadata and implement build/generate automation
• Coordinate deployments, API/toolchain integration and governance
• Collaborate with developers, testers, operations, and project leaders
• Assist with integration to Git, Eclipse, VS Code, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
