Job summary

BMC Software is seeking a DevOps Migration Engineer – Mainframe Source Code Management to design, configure, and optimize the AMI DevX Code Pipeline platform. You will lead migrations from legacy SCMs like Endevor, ChangeMan, and Librarian, and collaborate with developers, testers, and operations to deliver secure, scalable processes.

Ideal candidates have strong z/OS experience, familiarity with AMI DevX ISPW, and hands-on tooling like Git, Eclipse, and VS Code.

Qualifications

5+ years in mainframe SCM/release management as administrator.
2+ years in BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline (ISPW) preferred.
Experience migrating from Endevor, Librarian, ChangeMan, etc.
Knowledge of JCL, JES2/3, ISPF, REXX; Dataset design and COBOL/Assembler/PL/I basics.
Git workflow for mainframe; Eclipse/VS Code tooling; Code Pipeline extensions.
Security governance: RACF/ACF2/Top Secret configurations.
Troubleshooting: SDSF, build/deploy diagnostics, performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, administer, and optimize the AMI DevX Code Pipeline platform.
Lead end-to-end SCM migration planning and execution for legacy/3rd-party systems.
Model lifecycle and metadata; build, generate automation, deployment processing.
Integrate APIs and toolchains; ensure security/governance alignment.
Collaborate with developers, testers, QA, operations, and project leaders.
