Job summary

Ad Ad Hoc is seeking a DevOps Engineer III to join our remote team supporting federal government projects. You will advance cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation across AWS, Kubernetes, and related tools.

As an emerging senior contributor, you will mentor teammates, influence architecture decisions, and ensure security, reliability, and performance requirements are met for government partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps experience.
• Hands-on AWS and Kubernetes production experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with IaC tools (Terraform) and scripting.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and simplify DevOps tools and services across teams.
• Resolve architecture and operations problems with simple designs.
• Perform cloud infrastructure and deployment tasks under guidance.
• Build libraries and modules for integration with projects.
• Create infrastructure that supports applications and improves developer experience.
• Support CI/CD processes to improve quality and speed.
• Integrate security/quality tooling into pipelines.
• Build deployment pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, GitLab CI.
• Collaborate with government partners to meet security, SLA, and performance requirements.
