Job summary

Adgtech is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to help modernize and transform government-facing missions. The role emphasizes CI/CD, IaC, and container-based solutions, with hands-on work across AWS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Candidates should have a BS in CS or related field and be comfortable working in a hybrid setup with on-site presence in the DC metro area at least weekly. US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines experience, especially Jenkins with Groovy.
• Hands-on with container tech: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, OpenShift.
• Hands-on with AWS managed services (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS) and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with configuration management (Chef, Puppet).
• Solid microservices understanding; code management with Git/Subversion.
• Experience maintaining Java/Node web apps (Spring Boot, React).
• Keen communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and tools for a large enterprise system.
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code artifacts and container-based solutions.
• Write scripts to automate DevOps processes using Bash, Python, etc.
• Troubleshoot with development teams and validate configurations.
• Provide deployment support for cloud-based apps and microservices.
• Maintain 24x7 production environments and monitor performance.
