Job summary

Assured Information Security, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer II to support engineering platforms and microservices used across multiple DoD customers. This remote position offers involvement with automation, container orchestration, and cloud services while collaborating across teams.

You will work on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and secure SDLC practices within a DoD-focused environment, contributing to research and documentation updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field and 2 years' experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with automation tools and solid understanding of Linux.
• Comfortable using version control and configuration management tools such as Git or SVN.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters and custom manifests.

Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure, task automation, provisioning of managed services leveraging Ansible and scripting languages.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab.
• Install, configure, and manage container orchestration engines (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Swarm).
• Manage commercial cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software and test teams to integrate capabilities.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and contribute to internal R&D efforts.
• Maintain and update documentation pertaining to systems builds.
