Job summary

micro1 is seeking a DevOps Engineer contractor to contribute to a customer project focused on scalable cloud infrastructure and AI data tooling. You will implement and maintain automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices in a remote setting.

The role emphasizes strong coding in Python/Go, IaC, Docker and Kubernetes, with a requirement of at least 20 hours per week and excellent written and spoken English.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional DevOps/SRE/infrastructure experience.
• Strong coding ability in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/Ansible/Pulumi/CFN.
• Advanced Linux and Git proficiency.
• Professional English (written and spoken).
• Availability of at least 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic DevOps tasks based on production-style scenarios (CI/CD, containers, orchestration, IaC, monitoring, incident response).
• Write working reference solutions with clear setup and validation steps.
• Review AI-generated output, identify failures, and write precise corrections with reasoning.
• Maintain a strict quality bar on correctness and reproducibility.
• Share structured feedback that improves future task design.
