Job summary

Vannevar is seeking a DevOps Engineer to own build and deployment automation for the company. You will ensure platform health, scalability, and secure, high-availability pipelines across commercial and high-side environments, communicating trade-offs clearly to teammates.

You will work on a multi-account AWS setup, develop self-service tools, and automate build and deployment processes while collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, software engineering.
• Experience crafting CI/CD processes and automation.
• Deep knowledge in AWS cloud technology.
• Experience with PLG stack, Datadog, or other enterprise monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform and Pulumi.
• Proficient with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Excellent with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Experience in agile scrum environments and ability to work independently.
• US Citizenship required for access to US data systems and export-controlled data.
• TS/SCI with FSP Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and ensure platform health, scalability, and planning.
• Build self-service tools and automate data engineering workflows.
• Create logging and monitoring tools to visualize platform state and improve SRE practices.
• Deliver a secure, robust, high-availability DevOps pipeline.
• Assist in expanding a multi-account AWS environment.
• Automate build and deployment processes.
