Job summary

Susan G. Komen seeks a Development Director to lead a year-round fundraising program across the market, driving revenue targets and managing a community fundraising team. This remote-friendly role collaborates with national teams to secure sponsorships and major gifts.

You will oversee MORE THAN PINK Walk/Race for the Cure events, build donor pipelines, and travel as needed to engage sponsors and volunteers while aligning with Komen’s mission to end breast cancer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years’ experience in fundraising, special events and team management.
• Track record with $1M+ revenue through sponsorships, peer-to-peer campaigns and major gifts.
• Willingness to travel ~30% and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop year-round fundraising plan and budget to meet revenue goals.
• Assist in hiring, training and supervising community fundraising staff.
• Meet monthly fundraising goals for events and campaigns and manage budgets.
• Execute strategy to meet revenue goals for MORE THAN PINK Walk/Race for the Cure.
• Secure and manage high-dollar corporate partnerships for market events.
• Maintain an ongoing sponsor/donor pipeline and travel to engage key partners.
