Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Dev Lead to own architecture, code quality, and delivery for an Agile squad building AI-powered knowledge discovery solutions. The role blends hands-on engineering with team leadership, unblockers, and close collaboration with the Product Owner.

You will steer technical direction, security, and performance while promoting agentic engineering practices and high standards across services and interfaces. W2 options available for consultants.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with solution architecture experience.
• 1+ years building GenAI applications with RAG and agentic search.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
• 2+ years as a senior/principal engineer with ownership of design and operations.
• 2+ years in Agile teams with Product Owners and QA.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Hands-on Python with FastAPI and ReactJS for front-end.
• Experience on AWS/Azure and Azure OpenAI/LLMs.
• Experience with Elasticsearch indexing and search performance.
• Security scanning and DevSecOps practices (SonarQube, Veracode).

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture and design with focus on security, scalability, and performance.
• Set backlog direction, refine stories, and support planning and mappings.
• Define squad priorities and advise Product Owner on product priorities.
• Own service security and address risks early.
• Stay current on GenAI and emerging tech; share insights across teams.
• Lead agentic engineering practices from planning to deployment.
• Oversee PR process with AI-assisted review and enforce coding norms.
• Maintain code quality, test coverage, and curb technical debt.
• Set guardrails for agent-generated code and validate against specs.
• Remove blockers, coach engineers, validate timelines, and deployments.
• Manage dependencies and improve squad velocity and flow.
• Foster a safe, curious environment with constructive feedback.
• Join product conversations to align technical work with outcomes.
